Alarm Security System
Does anyone know how to disable the security alarm system on 95 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
My security system has finally taken over the jeep. It will no longer disable from the passenger door key lock. It has the entire car down. I was told there was a "black box" somewhere that needed to be removed but can't locate it.
Thanks for immediate help as car in now inoperable.
Underneath your hood, there is a "box" with your plug in relays...black box is in there. It was same in Cherokee XJ's too...you had to put it in neutral with key in sometimes to get it to start. They suck...
You will have to replace the relay, check with Auto Zone or Kragen. They have dealt with those before, Im sure.

How do you turn off the security system alarm?
For example like the beeping noise when you open a door or window. I can't figure out how to turn it off, the keypad has just numbers on it, and some blank ones too.
That is a "Chime: feature that is on teh alarm. Without knowing what type of systen that you have I would have no idea how to tell you to turn off that feature...do u have anymore info? Company? Model #?
