American Security Gun

Does it seem Americans value freedom over security and Europeans value security over freedom?
especially economic freedom and rights to free speech, gun ownership, & property rights
Thats no easy topic. lol
Americans as people can defend themselves, and their property, legally with whatever force they as free citizens require. Many of us in America own guns and know how to use them. Americas history of gun rights started when the Brits tried to disarm the colonies. Needless to say that started some trouble for the Brits and their "gun control". Its also the primary reason why Japan didnt try and invade California during WWII, they knew that behind virtually every blade of grass would be an American with a rifle pointing at them. These days, we have alot more anti gun pussies and hoplophobes in this country with no notion of what Freedom costs, but having grown up in the USA, and lived in Europe I'll try and answer the questions.
The Euros, despite our best efforts are a fairly fucked up people. Some are still socialists. Some communists. Many of them somewhere in between. Worst of all, and I base this statement on the many Germans I knew when living in Germany, they value peace at all costs, even the cost of their own pride, culture, country, and values. The Germans are so brow beaten by the guilt of WWII that until recently by my buddy Marcus's (a German) own admission they didnt like to cheer their own teams too loudly like at the Olympics or World Cup, because its still "bad when Germans get too proud". This scenario is all over Europe and its just bizarre. Pacifism meets paranoia. WTF!
on the other hand
In the USA, we value freedom above all else, which is why we scream bloody murder over stuff like Patriot Act, a draft, pointless wars, gun control, and anything that interferes with our God(s) given and Constitutionally validated rights to free speech, gun ownership, property rights, you name it, all our rights. Fortunately, our rights are codified and almost untouchable. The Europeans technically dont have those rights stated and documented as we do. Look it up. Ours is on paper for all time in the Constitution and its Bill of Rights, and not just granted by the government. Our Bill of Rights states as pre-existing rights that the Govt. cannot mess with (pick your flavor). For example: When it says that "the right of the People to keep and bare arms shall not be infringed" it states something the govt. "cannnot do", more so asserting that our rights to defend ourselves and keep firearms is a preexisting right, and the US govt. "shall not infringe" on it. It doesnt say something like "the US grants the right to keep and bare" that would imply the govts. authority on the matter. Our freedoms come from (take your pick) God, Gods, our Human Rights, Nature, whatever, and as such we Americans will fight tooth and nail (most of the time) to keep them. Euros dont even have this scenario on a per country basis like we have. For example: Canadians (not Euros, but a good example anyway) dont even have anything in their govt. that compares to our First Ammendment, so they technically dont have any of those freedoms. Its kind of sad and thats a big deal and not enough people take notice of it.
Our Founding Fathers were very smart in how they phrased our "Rights" on paper. I'm digressing, but its to a point and as a people, we Americans are very different from our friends in Europe in how we think and value security and freedom.
Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.
- Benjamin Franklin

| | American Gun - Dolby $17.99 Three stories of how America's obsession with firearms impacts its citizens are explored in this independent drama. Carl Wilk (Donald Sutherland) runs a gun shop in Virginia that has been owned and operated by his family for generations. Carl sees the shop as his family's legacy without paying much mind to what happens with the weapons he sells. When his granddaughter Mary Ann (Linda Cardellini) needs money for college, Carl gives her a job in the store, and while she's hesitant at first, she becomes fascinated with the merchandise as time passes. On the West Side of Chicago, Carl Carter (Forest Whitaker) is the principal of a high school where violence has become a sad fact of life. As Carl and his wife, Sara (Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon), fear for their young son as they worry he could either fall prey to the violence of their community or embrace it himself, Carl receives a severe emotional blow when Jay (Arlen Escarpeta), one of his most promising students, is discovered carrying a pistol. And in Oregon, Janet (Marcia Gay Harden) is a single mother still troubled by the death of her teenaged son three years before, who took his own life after killing a handful of his classmates in a violent incident at a high school. As Janet deals with sharp words from the community, many of whom believe she should be held responsible for her late son's actions, she is unsure how to handle her surviving son, David (Christopher Marquette), who is now of high-school age. American Gun was the first feature film for writer and director Aric Avelino. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi |

Having a Gun in pocket!!! is that right???!?
Who can answer my question :
1-why Americans can carry gun with themselves while they live in a modern age and many federal security agancies such as FBI , Ploice and .... must provide a secure ambinet for this nation?!!!
2- what's the logical porpose of Gun law, today?
1. "What country can preserve its liberties if its rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them." --Thomas Jefferson
2. The logical purpose of gun laws is to disarm law-abiding citizens. Criminals, by definition, ignore laws.
