Auto Emergency Led
A/C Indoor Blower Motor Inop?
I have a Bryant A/C - Heat pump unit that is controlled by a Select Comfort 2200 thermostat. With the switch in the cool position, the outdoor unit is working but the indoor furnace blower motor is not. When the thermostat is moved to emergency mode and the fan swiched from auto to on, the blower motor works. And the green LED does not light up in the cool position. Any help would be appriciated
It sounds like your thermostat is not producing a call for your blower motor to come on in the auto position. Usually this indicates a bad thermostat. if the blower is controlled by a 9200 series relay, the relay could be bad. if it has a solid state control board, I would bank on the thermostat being bad. If you have a way to check for voltage, put your t-stat in cool and check between G and C to see if you have 24 volts, if you do not, then you know that you have a bad t-stat. sorry Good Luck
