Auto Exit
How do I stop the auto-backup for Windows Vista?
This is a big pain in the butt, because the window telling me it can't backup (and I don't WANT it to backup) keeps popping up, stopping my typing or exiting me out of programs, etc. It's really annoying, and I have no idea how to stop it (since the Windows Help is difficult to navigate). Thank you for helping!
I don’t know how to do it in Vista but can give you an option for XP maybe it is the same for Vista.
Right click “My computer”>> system restore>> mark “Turn off System restore on all drives”.
But before that I‘d recommend you to reduce the space allocated for system restore, you can do it here: "My computer”>> system restore>> in available drives list select one of your drives and press “settings”>>reduce available space>> execute the same procedure for every drive listed.
