My fiance has already filed his I 485.He hasnt got his bio-metric interview yet,after his interview date is scheduled will it b possible to add my name in his green card?Is it possible to file I 765 after the interview is scheduled?

Green card holders have to rights to bring their fiancees with them. He could file later for you if you were married but it would take 6 years or so before you could join him. He can't change his application now as he was single when he applied and will be considered as single.

How far would you be willing to go to comply with national security measures?


Would anyone agree with the establishment of a national security program for bio-metrically identifying the citizenry -- on a voluntary basis? Rights and freedoms could be compromised. It could come to be that air-travel, or obtaining a driver's license, or securing social security benefits would require biometric identity registration.

The whole idea gives me the creeps, personally! However, If many hundreds of billions of dollars could be saved from reduction in fraud and other forms of crime (including trillion - dollar civic damage by terrorists) and if safety and security were significant, would you concede to some lesser privacy intrusion and form of registering one's identity?

Exactly what rights and freedoms would be compromised through biometric identification? How would this differ from any other form of identification?

All biometric identification does is use a unique personal characteristic (DNA, fingerprints, etc) instead of paper documents (birth certificates, etc) as the root basis of your identity.

I fail to see where my privacy has been compromised here.
