Bolt Secret
Harmonic Balancer, 1987 Chevy Spectrum?
I need to replace the timing belt on my 1987 Chevy Spectrum.. I have everything out of the way, but i just cant get the bolt out that holds on the harmonic balancer/crankshaft pully dampener!!
I've used my impact wrench on it, no luck at all.. even had my friend hold it while i went for the breaker bar..
Anyone hae an idea, or maybe a secret on what to do? My chilton manual doesn't describe anything.. just: remove it with a puller.. yeah i cant remove it with my puller until i get that bolt out!
im using my matco 1/2" impact.. and my air compressor puts out a constant 95 psi.. there has to be something im forgetting to pull out.. there isnt some sort of pin or some stupid shit?
ive tried all the wd-40, jb-80, CRC Super Synthetic Silicone.. I dont know what to do ... i'll try to round up a 1000 ft/lbs impact from one of my friends and see if that breaks it loose
Try hammering with the impact, be sure to use impact socket, in one direction for about15 sec, then quickly reverse and do the same. Keep this up for at least 6 cycles. This will create some heat and work the bolt loose. Has worked often for me. All that lubricant won't help cause no way to get to threads.

Nancy Drew: Curse of Blackmoor Manor LIGHTNING BOLT?
Okay, so near the very beginning of the game I got the lightning bolt key from above Jane's door, but I had no idea what it was at the time. So I went ahead and stuck it in the column that was missing it, but the column never opened because I had not even heard of any secret passages and definetely had not been in either to make it possible. Much, much later in the game, I come back to the columns with all of the missing pieces EXCEPT I WAS MISSING THE LIGHTNING BOLT! I have no idea what happened to it! I should have got it back after sticking it in the column in the beginning, right? Well, it's not in my inventory, and when I arrange the tiles to retrieve another, all the tiles do is merely go back to their original spots; no key, because I had already taken it earlier. Now all but that one column has the pipes set up. What do I do? How can I get the lightning bolt back, where might it be, and/or how can I finish the game without it????
Is it still on the column? That's all I can think of--this is a tough one. You need it to win because the pipes have to be set to light the forge I believe. Comb through your inventory again, veryyy carefully--just in *case* you overlooked it.
