Boxing & street fighting?

my cousin could beat me at boxing.
but thats because he is fast & has good foot work..

how can i improve my foot work & speed?
& also how can i learn to take a punch?

i want to be ready in case someone tries to fight me in the streets.
about how many fights do you think it will take for me to get use to getting hit in my vulnerable places like stomach, chest or head etc..

please answer my all Qs in detail..

Hey... I'm an old guy. Take it from me.. the best strategy is not to get hit... but there will be a few occasions where you will have to fight... and in those circumstances the best strategy is to punch first, hit hard and often. A lot of the fight skills taught are really targeted at physical fitness.... what that really means in a street fight is that if you are unfit, you will find it more difficult to run away. If you intend on being a punching bag.... and that seems to be your current choice... it is not a street smart one. Your life is not a movie or a video game... those blows to the head will impact on your life forever... don't get hit.
