A monsoon is traditionally defined as a seasonal reversing wind accompanied by seasonal changes in precipitation, but is now used to describe seasonal changes in atmospheric circulation and precipitation.
India’s climate is dominated by monsoons. Monsoons are strong, often violent winds that change direction with the season. Monsoon winds blow from cold to warm regions because cold air takes up more space than warm air. Monsoons blow from the land toward the sea in winter, and from the sea toward land in the summer.
The term was first used in English in India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and neighboring countries to refer to the big seasonal winds blowing from the Indian Ocean and Arabian Sea in the southwest bringing heavy rainfall to the area. In hydrology, monsoon rainfall is considered to be that which occurs in any region that receives the majority of its rain during a particular season.

I guess someone forgot to tell the purchasing department…all the backlogged equipment, parts, and supplies we haven’t been able to get in the last 6 months have been mysteriously showing up, in bulk, over the last several weeks…some as recent as today. Whether it be something as simple as a case of Windex, to golf carts bought and/or repaired for the flood of displaced steelmaking foremen to ride around in, to a prepaid $125,000+ per year rental forklift (to go with the other 18 or so prepaid rental forklifts)

I prefer the metal and bulk over the plastic thinness. The devices are already damn small and making them smaller is only held back by the demand for large touch displays.
