Can Safe How does color-safe bleach work and what, really, does it do?
I use color-safe bleach on my colored laundry but I finally just can't stand it. What IS it? And why am I using it? How can bleach be color-safe? Doesn't bleach... bleach things? And if this stuff doesn't bleach things, is it really bleach? Is it doing anything other than giving me something else to spend money on? If I mixed it with any of the things you mix bleach with to get nasty reactions like chlorine gas - or spontaneous combustion - would it still do those things? Or is it a completely different product altogether and only CALLED bleach because the marketers know people will buy something called bleach?
I'm confused.
It is not chlorine-based, it is oxygen-based, and will brighten without bleaching the colours out of fabrics. You have seen it on tv in one form, as Oxy-Clean.

How safe is the Makati area in the Philippines?
I'm ethnic Filipino borned and raised in the UK, I got a German girlfriend and I'm planning on taking her to Manila for a visit. We looked it up and decided to stay at the Manila Peninsula. Now, I know how dangerous it is for everybody in the Philippines. I don't mind snatchings and being robbed, I'm worried about kidnappings and corrupt cops. I'm not really concerned for myself as I can blend in the crowd easily with my dark skin (unless I start trying to speak Filipino). I'm concerned about my girlfriend, who happens to be caucasian, 25 years old, fiery blonde hair and a hot piece of ass. In other words, she would stick out like a sore thumb when mixed with Filipinos. My question is... how safe is it really in Makati? Does the area have better security since thay have all those classy hotels and malls there? Is it even safe walking on the sidewalk around 9-10pm? Just Makati, we're not planning on visiting Malate, Binondo, Buendia or any of those tourist unfirendly spots.
Makati is safer compared to the cities you've listed on your last sentence. Much much safer I have to mention. Just a few tips:
1) Definitely your gilfriend will get some attentions from the people. Please ask her to dress modestly. Sleeveless is fine since it's always warm in my home country but not too much cleavage and not too short or too skimpy bottoms. I'm 28 year old filipina woman currently in California ... so I know! because I grew up & studied in the Phil.
2) Jewelry - please, as much as possible just keep it low key.
3) Kidnappings & Corrupt? Well, sorry but usually the Chinese people are the ones being kidnapped. And as for the cops, just keep on talking to them in straight English & be firm...
4) Walking between 9 - 10 on sidewalks? As long as there's still people walking around too. But I don't suggest walking around the sidewalks between 11 & up unless there's really alot of people too. Have a Safe & Pleasant Trip!
