Car Burglar Alarm
Can you get fired for calling in sick too often?
I have a corker who, for the past few months, calls in sick on Mondays and/or Fridays. And, when she is not calling in sick (she sometimes picks random days during the week, as well), she will call in with a lame excuse like "my burglar alarm won't stop going off", "I locked my keys in my car" or she comes in late. I wonder why management hasn't done anything and I was just wondering if someone could get fired for taking too much time off.
Absolutely, she can be fired. Like you, I wonder why management doesn't do anything.

Vintage CAR SECURITY BURGLAR ALARM POLICE SIREN 12 VOLT
A single 8 Inch sub?
I'd like a modest system to upgrade the sound on my chevy aveo 5 (it came with their premium stereo package: 6 speakers)..
I'm thinking a single 8 inch would do it for me.. I have no interest in setting off car alarms.. Attracting the attention of burglars(There are lots of these in east dallas) or cops for that matter(I don't think there are any strict laws on noise pollution where I am).. I simply want to enjoy my music more..
Do you think a single 8" sub would do it for me given what I want? Would it sound good? I'd also like to save as much room as possible.. I was thinking of trying to get a small fiberglass box...
And would it make a difference if I had the single sub off to the side in my trunk? or does would that affect it's ability to fill my tiny hatchback.. Sorry if that's a dumb question..
A single 8 inch would give you descent low end. I would put it in a sealed enclosure, check with the manufacturer of the woofer for size. As for the corner, sometimes that is the best spot for it, you may want to experiment with different positions, as every car is different and different locations can affect cabin gain.
