Cctv Video Security
Need help asap with new cctv camera...?
Our old cctv camera died yesterday(well the led's did) .We purchased a new one today a Nikkai Colour powerful Flood security camera from maplins. Fitted this camera hooked it all up picture was fab.
Then tonight the IR kicked in and although the picture is good it is rolling ,like the tracking out on an old video.I have tried it on a different tv and get the same problem.
Anyone got any ideas please.

Hi I have the power supply that was supplied new with the camera, I have checked it is the correct one for the camera.
Get a new power supply with high AMPs (2 AMPs or higher with same voltage rating - typically 12 volts DC) for the camera. It sounds like the camera is not getting enough power. LED's eat up a lot of juice. Higher AMPs will not harm the camera, but the wrong voltage will fry the camera. Take a look at the link below for an example.
Edit: I would still try another power supply to see what happens. I have seen plenty of power supplies that are bundled with the camera that are bad or of sub par quality. If it is not a power supply issue, then you might have a bad camera.

Use Video Security And Access Control Systems To Keep Your Premises Safe And Secure
Do you manage an office that deals in secure and confidential information? Or perhaps you run a business that would suffer greatly if anyone managed to get their hands on your business plans. Whatever the reason, most people who run office or business premises wish to protect the security of those premises, and prevent any unauthorized entry. In order to do this, it is not sufficient to have human guards on your premises, but you should also increase the level of protection by installing video security and access control systems to ensure that nobody breaches the security of your premises.
Video security systems operate on a relatively simple principle. They usually involve a series of closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras that are connected to a bank of television monitors. A guard monitors these cameras from a control room where televisions receive the video feed from all of the cameras on the premises, so the guard is able to watch all of the key potential trouble spots all at once. This provides you with an early warning system should any trouble take place on your premises. It is also an excellent method of making sure that nobody climbs fences or jumps walls to get into a private compound. Anybody attempting this in an area with a video security system installed will most definitely get caught.
Video security is not always able to detect more subtle attempts to gain unlawful access to your premises, however. Someone who wishes to enter undetected may choose to disguise themselves as an ordinary worker, and will escape the notice of guards monitoring the video security system. In this case, you will require access control systems to prevent unauthorized access to your premises. Access control systems involve security systems that do not allow entry through doors unless a person is able to present a valid form of identification. This usually comes in the form of a card or a code that has to be keyed into the system before the protected door will open.
You need only provide employees with a form of identification to pass through the access control systems, and you greatly reduce the likelihood that someone will gain unauthorized entry to your premises. Access control systems are already widely in use in offices and other compounds worldwide, and they have proved to be enormously successful. Most of the offices and compounds protected by these systems contain sensitive information, whether they deal with business or dangerous chemicals, they all rely on access control systems to prevent unauthorized access.
So if you find yourself needing a method of keeping unwelcome visitors off your premises, you should use a combination of a video security system paired with access control systems, to provide a double layer of security for your premises. With these two security systems in place, you can be sure that no one will be finding their way onto your premises unless you let them in. This is a definitely a worthwhile investment, especially if your business could be hurt by having someone slip in unnoticed and steal information.
