If you are an hourly employee you have to realize by now you, your co-workers, need a union. "As long as there is organized capital, there will be organized labor. A working person's life is valuable. Every time the clock ticks, there goes a second off that life. When a person sells the hours of their life to make a profit for someone else, they are entitled to all they can get for those precious hours. That is why working people ORGANIZE UNIONS: to help in getting a share of the profits they helped bring into a sucessful business. Unions have brought about, in addition to reasonable pay, better working conditions, more job security and more leisure time for workers to enjoy vacations, health and pension benefits. In organizing a union, it is a long and dangerous process. you have to sacrifice a lot, you can be terminated, or worst, you will be killed. There are many kinds of Unions, There are unions who disguise to represent the organization but in reality, they make their living on milking their members by selling them out during the CBA negotiations or otherwise known as the Collective Bargaining Agreement. These organizations are known as Company Unions. In other terms, they are called Yellow Unionism. They make money out of the ignorance of their General Members because they don't teach them their rights as workers. On the other hand, there is the Ginuine Trade Unionism. These unions are the real ones, as members of the union, you will have series of semenars on what is trade Unionism is all about. you will know your rights in accordance with law. you will know why your company is not complying with the labor code. and many, many lot more. until your life is in danger because you know too much....but it is your right to have a labor union as provided by law...
