Closet Light Hidden
Help!! How do I tell if I have a cockroach infestation!?!?
Over about the last 3 days I have found 2 of what I think to be cockroaches. I am not 100 percent positive, but they look like them, especially with the nasty long antennae and the wierd shaped head. They kinda look like a German roach, but w/o the stripes and a little bit different color. Anyway, I tore my apartment apart looking for those suckers...I mean EVERYWHERE! All my closets, under the bathroom and kitchen sinks, my water heater closet, my food cabinets, but to no avail.
These bugs do not seem to act like roaches...they didn't run when I saw them, and one was sitting right by my ceiling light, just hanging there. Is there any other places that they may be hiding? If so, where?
Also, I live in an apartment complex (a series of 4 family units per building) on a second story. Is it possible that these suckers could have come from an apartment below or beside me?
Sanitation is not an issue...my apartment is fairly clean.
If you see more then one roach, you have more, they live in the dark, if you turn on the light at night you will be able to see more of them. They multiply very fast. If it were me I'd get an exterminator or get over the counter super straight roach killer & do this even after you do not see any more. Roaches are very dirty & can cause many different illnesses, ask your Doctor. They can get into any area.

How can I train a feeder rat?
Usually when I buy a rat, theyre meant to be pets. I already have an adult rat so I needed another rat that was an adult..the only one the pet store had were feeder rats.
The rat I got isnt aggressive (so far) just scared to death, and I cant blame him, he spent most of his life in a dark dirty cage with a bunch of other rats, shoved in the back of the store (a small space thats almost like a closet, no lights or anything). Whenever I go near the cage he flies to the bottom and hides in the plastic igloo I have in there. How can I gain his trust and make him friendly?
Today I tried fresh fruit. I talked nicely to him while I held a piece of apple infront of the igloo. Napoleon (my other rat) ran out and grabbed it..so I tried it with another piece.. The new rat just popped his head out and looked at it but was too scared to come out and take it.

thick vanilla or fruit flavored yogurt
a quiet rat proof room
a good book
the rat in her cage
a blanket
take your rat in her cage into the rat proof room.put a dollop of yogurt on your open palm.get comfy on the floor next to the cage.open cage door.insert hand.open palm with flat fingers wait and wait and wait............maybe in a few or hey! even in the first "session"your rat will smell yummy yummy yogurt and go-"hey that smells nice.but o dear!the big scary human hand is holding it**looks at you who are calming reading a book unmoving,not making eye contact**well,okaaaay...**lick,lick,sniff,run,creep out,lick lick***(note;no matter how happy you are you are to keep silently,unmoving reading)mmmmmmm.....humans give yummy yummy treats. i guess shes not soo bad!"
