Closet Student Safes
Best cleaner for personal space, such as clothes shelves, drawers, desk?
I'm a student at college and I move into a new apartment every now and then. Although the people before are supposed to clean, they don't always do a good job. Right now I'm looking at a new room and just vacuumed all the spider webs out of the closet. I want to clean the closet shelf well enough so I can put clothes on it. In the past I would use fantastik orange action all purpose cleaner, but I went to five stores and couldn't find it anywhere. I'd be worried about using 409 or a toilet cleaner because I don't know what type of residue is going to be left for my clothes. At the same time I've found out that an all purpose cleaner will pick up more dirt than plain water with paper towels, and since I don't know what's been in the closet I would like to clean it. I neither want greasy furniture polish on the clothes shelf, which I can't see anyway. I'm also looking at cleaning the clothes drawers and desk surface. What would be some good/safe cleaners for personal area surfaces?
If you are worried about chemical residue (a very legitimate concern) know that you can actually save money by using non-toxic cleaners.
Using baking soda and water will remove any scuff marks, it will also take away any funky odors.
Using a spray of hydrogen peroxide then followed by a spray of vinegar will disenfect better than bleach, without toxic fumes. Just be sure to that surface is cleaned off so hydrogen peroxide doesn't bleach your clothes (same would happen with chlorine bleach).
A tip: If using baking soda and there is a white film left over, wiping with vinegar will remove the residue. baking soda nd vinegar mix to make water and carbon dioxide gas. Also, tje reverse is true. If the smell of vinegar bothers you, wipe with a wet sponge with a bit of baking soda on it to kill the smell residue.
These methods are very affordable.

Ok, psychology students, here's one for you. First let me tell you I've done alot of work on myself so here.?
I was molested as a kid, 3-4 years old, and beaten after that by a parent, through the years I've had these night terrors/nightmares, in the 'dream' I can't see who, what is happening, where, I feel paralyzing terror, can't scream, can't move, can't see. I used to wake up in closets, locked cars, sleeping outside, under beds, etc., no memory of getting to a "safe place". I stopped having these 'dreams' in '92, I credited the fact that they stopped to the therapy I was in and moved on with my life. A week ago, something triggered the 'dreams', only this time instead of staying paralyzed with fear, in the dream I woke myself up but woke up in another dream where I could run, scream, yell for help, rage at my perpetrator, I still couldn't see anything but all my senses were working, especially fight and flight, I have forgiven everyone involved and moved forward quite successfully. Why do you think after all this time have the dreams returned?
the amazing thing is that you are now capable of fighting in your dream, that means that you really had a breakthrough in therapy and you really did change, that is wonderful, its so hard to forgive someone who took advantage of you but it seems that you did, congratulations.
You have to always remember that the mind never forgets, and in your life you are going to have to deal with similar dreams about our greatest tests, Carl Jung said that in our dreams we could see glimpses of our past,present, and future, maybe you can study abour the collective unconscious.
