I think I have a virus and my computer it will only work in safe mode?
My laptop computer has updated anti virus software on it and when I scan my computer it says it is fine. When I restart my computer it starts just fine but then my computer gets to the desktop screen it's like the screen shuts off and I can't see anything. If I start my computer in safe mode the problem doesn't happen. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do or try? And has anyone heard of a virus with symptons similar to this?
That doesnt mean it has a virus. It could be a bummer video card, could be the wrong video driver, could be the video settings have been changed and the monitor doesnt support the change, etc.

Anti Virus - How safe is your computer?
How can I make my computer safe?
Yes,I know it's abit dumb asking for how to make your computer safe but I am just worried that if my personal detail's and other things will get hacked.I have got Norton 360 (Version 1) but I am still not sure if my computer is not safe.Please help me make my computer safe by telling me any information for making my computer safe.
For starters, update your Norton 360 to the current version (3.0) - The new version is far better than older versions. As a Norton customer, you are entitled to download the latest version (providing you have a current subscription). Goto http://www.symantec.com/norton/downloads/index.jsp and select 'Feature updates for Norton customers'.
A few more things to help keep your computer safe:
1) Download SUPERAntiSpyware and/or Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware for back-up. Run scans periodically to ensure nothing has slipped past your AV.

2) Download SpywareBlaster to block known bad sites. http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html
3) Download and use Mozilla Firefox as your web browser (if you don't have it already) and install the NoScript add-on - this will help block script and active content threats. Also install the Web of Trust add-on - this will alert you to known malicious sites.

5) Last but not least, keep Windows up-to-date - Ensure that 'Automatic Updates' is turned on.

Ah yes, as Bob K suggested, CCleaner - this will clear your browsing history and temporary files. http://www.ccleaner.com/
Also, if you decide to use Mozilla Firefox, goto 'Tools > Options > Privacy' and deselect 'Accept third-party cookies' and select 'Always clear my private data when I exit Firefox' - this will clear your history every time you close Firefox.
