Concrete Bolt Down
How do I make a room in my basement?
I'm pretty handy and am confident I can make a room in my basement (about 10x25). However, I know I can't do it to the quality a contractor could. My plan was framing the base out with 3 inches of concrete to prevent water invasion (which never happens). Then, bolt down pressure treated 2x4's to the base. then, 2x4 studs would be put in place from the base to the joists. then sheetrock & tape. i was planning on leaving the outside of the room unfinished so i can put in outlets for lights, insulation between the studs and then 3-mil poly stapled over the whole thing. the floor inside the room would probably just be a cheap area rug (this will be workout / tv room). SO, there's my plan. anybody with some extra input or ideas, LET'S HAVE THEM! thanx.
just google " how to build partition walls" sounds like good plan to me.

i mean it was just here yesterday.... it was orange, with white letters and square, and said 'top contributor' on it.
I had it bolted down into concrete and everything and THEY still made off with it!!!!
