raider defense made 4 interceptions and they still lost?
i have come to the conclussion that and maybe im just way to slow for realizing it but damn, why do people still waste their money on this team when they have no chance while under the present ownership? should i just change my alegiance to a winning club? god that would hurt.
Carolina was "laying down" for the Raiders to cover, at least (like a boxer whispering to the other guy that can hardly stand up: "come on, hit me and make it look good!"). Sadly, the Raiders were so inept... that nothing Carolina coaching could do to slow the game, give the ball away, etc. could help the hapless Raiders offense.
The same thing that SD was doing, at home for the KC Chiefs. (I'm STILL laughing at the way that game ended, and how Herm gave SD the win.. and gets away with it in the pro-football media that doesn't attack him, but supports his nonsense that his team "deserved to win, there". Ummmmm? Isn't that why they make the trip to SD in the 1st place?) Not kicking the P.A.T. on the road, forcing OT is wrong on at least 5 MAJOR NFL levels.
Back to the Raiders -- this is HOW BAD the Raiders offense actually is.. that the other team is trying, so hard for them to score and they could only get 2 FGs? at least when the Jets laid down, the team won. What happened? man, they are weak now.

What is this defense in volleyball?
I tried out for this club today and their defense was so weird to me, at least. instead of the middle back getting deep ball. they were at the 10 foot lines behind blockers getting tips. while the 2 wings were getting cross and line. unless the setter was back row then the setter was getting all tips in front of 10 foot line. what is this called? have any of you have played this before?
this is the opposite of my school and other club plays. where the 2 wings get tips, and short balls/digs. while the middle back stays deep and covers the back line and corners. i think that makes more sense. what about you? and any tips for this defense, im a libero and its awfully confusing. thanks!
It's called the Rover defense. I think it works well against teams that tip a lot, but it's a big problem against teams that take big swings.
I used a similar sort of defense when I was coaching middle school or very young club teams (ages 14 and under) about a decade ago (or more). It's extremely effective against middles who tip. Otherwise, not so much.
