Defense Street Grappling

Have u ever used Judo for self defense?
I want to know personal experiences of some great practitioners of judo only. Have u ever found judo alone useful in street self defense? Also tell me did you learn to incapacitate or control your opponent by striking pressure points in your dojo? I know judo is a grappling art, but some claim that traditional judo dojos or instructors also teach striking techniques, so I want to confirm this by some real experiences of yours. Thanks.
i have used Judo quite a few times in slef defense. Judo is a great art to defend your self because everything you think would help, makes it worse. people like to hold on tight when thrown, or reach out to break their fall, or hold their breath when the hit the ground, all these things make a Judo throw MUCH more powerful. i actually got into a "situation" where i had to use Judo. just last Monday some person i dodn't know, came up to me and aggressively put his hand on my shoulder across my body (like a clothesline) and without hesitation i turned and threw him with Seoi Nage. he hit the ground and i ran off, he didn't get up until i was out of sight....
i also threw some one (a few months ago while at the swimming pool) with Tsuikomi Goshi, a "mainly gi" throw. i didn't need the gi, because i did an underhook instead of a lapel grip (because my IQ is higher than that of corn, i figured i could), i turned and he rolled right over my hip onto the cement of the lip of a pool. Judo is mean for slef defense, so of coures it will work if done correctly

| | Grappling Position $84.44 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles A grappling position refers to the positioning and holds of combatants engaged in grappling. Combatants are said to be in a neutral position if neither is in a more favourable position. If one party has a clear advantage such as in the mount they are said to be in a dominant position. Conversely, the other party is considered to be in a inferior position, in that case sometimes called the under mount. Called clinch position or standing grappling position, these are the core of clinch fighting. From a separated standup position, a clinch is the result of one or both fighters applying a clinch hold. The process of attempting to advance into more dominant clinch positions is known as pummelling. Fighters may attempt to break from the clinch, either as the rule require it at in boxing or because they wish to obtain a better position by moving out and reengaging, If the clinch continues, fighters may attempt to strike, takedown or throw an opponent. This may result in a win, or the start of ground grappling. Ground Fighting for the Streets - Bojuka Self Defense NOT MMA
Sparring Techniquies.?
I am a double strike attacker usually following up my double strike with a quick kick as I am behind my opponent striking at my opponents back and head, and then going into a grapple, throwing my opponent on the ground and then going for submissions or ground and pounds. I am rarely ever defeated using this technique even though I am only a white belt in my Ryukyo (Sp) Kimpo Dojo. We aren't trained to break boards, because a tree ain't ever gonn'a mug ya'. It is strictly for self defense only, and not some sport, because it is more of a Street Marital Arts for training against multiple attackers, persons with weapons, (etc).
I have a difficult time getting around quick succession of attacks, however most people don't kick at my dojo, but I get in a few arm/wrist locks allowing me to get behind my opponent and staying behind him or her. So any tips would be fine. Just post what works for you in a sparring match and include the strengths and weaknesses of it.
Quick succession of attacks? That would mean they are committing a lot of energy to their attack.
Moving out of their line of attack would be a good bet as it will be hard for them to change directions quickly.
It doesn't take a huge move to get outside their line.
My favorite move is this; attacker comes straight in with a flurry, I take one small step back and to the side a respond with a mid-level mawashi-geri (round house kick). Using their momentum to help me turn to face them from behind. A quick tsuki to the back for the ippon!
