Whats up with Dateline NBC and thier men going to underage girls house?

Dateline has shown this subject about men going to what they think is a "underage" girl's house when they get busted by Dateline. Yes i know there are pervs out there and kids are in danger of having some old dude come to the house, but I think we have bigger problems like the Iraq war, gas prices FEMA in New Orleans/Biloxi and other stuff happening. Is NBC throwing us a deversion to hide or get our minds off something else? Plus on a side note every time I talk to a The girls have tell me again and again they had been taken advantage of by a male family member not a stranger. Why don't they do a story about that instead?

Ya, there are a lot of bad things going on in the world, one of them is taking advantage of young people on the Internet. A young man has recently gone before a panel (watched on C-Span) talking about how the system works and how he got involved. These are all men who intentionally look for young boys and girls. Whatever problems may be going on in the world, keeping the kids safe and getting perverts off the street is a big one. And yes, a family member was more likely in the past, however, as young people gain more independence and spend more time alone, they are increasing vulnerable to attractive messages online from strangers. This is a relatively new phenomenon. Furthermore, journalists and other media personnel are worried about their own kids. It is something that is on a lot of people's minds. Family molestation has been covered quite a bit in the media.
