Digital Keypad
Looking for Digital Camera with caption input and keypad, with automatic date stamping (know make & model?)?
Digital camera needed that has fully automatic date stamping capability and featuring the ability to input a caption directly onto the photo. This latter feature would probably require a keypad as part of the camera. I think this feature has been offered somewhere.
As I take a photo I need to annotate it with a small description of what is being photographed. At the same time automatic date stamping that can be seen on the LCD screen would be valuble.
If you know of a make and model camera that has the above functions it would be a great help if you could let me know.
There is no such camera at this time.
* All cameras do put the date, time, f/stop, shutter speed. ISO, flash and the camera company and model number ... all that is embedded in the EXIF data on each image file.
* Some Nikon DSLR's allow the user to embed up to about forty symbols or letters in what is called Image Comment. Usually the photographers copyright notice, name and phone number goes there.
* Some Nikon DSLR's have a feature that allows the photographer to add an audio file with each image. It is like a tape recorder that automatically attaches it to the last shot.
That is it for now ... maybe in the next few years they will become available, but right now the race is to jam as many pixels into a small sensor as possible and provide a video feature that makes You Tube ready videos. Touch screen navigation has been added to a few cameras, but there have been problems with screen abrasion, so they aren't quite ready for prime-time
