Digital Safes Is it safe to open a digital camera?
I took my camera to the beach and sand got stuck in the zoom lense and i can't get it out. I want to open the camera to get the sand out. Would it ruin the camera if I open it?
In my opinion, do not make any attempt on that if you are not skilful or trained for that.
Send it to the service man, and they can do a better job than you.

Are digital cameras safe to go through the xray machines at airports?
Please site sources if you have them.
Digital cameras are fine to go through the x-ray, as some have said if you have film that is 800 speed or higher as for it to be hand checked. Also all electronics must go through the x-ray, which includes video cameras and the film for them.
