i recently bought a digital photo frame keyring, its like a usb fob that plugs in. now when i plug it in my mcafee pops up saying a trojen horse is tring to access. when i mailed the seller about it he told me "trojen horse backdoor agent "
Its an autorun file, this is what opens up when you plug it in, so please thats not a trojan house"
is this safe then? i have had a trojen befopre and it shafted my computer.
Sometimes anti-virus software will pickup what looks like a trojan horse but really isnt. I wouldnt panic just yet. Run the search again and google the file name of the "trojan" that you find. You'll get plenty of sites that'll tell you if this really is a trojan and if it is, how risky it is and what to do to get rid of it. Likelyhood is that if it is a torjan, its not very serious and u won't have a hard time removing it. Good luck.

It depends. If you got it from some weird site, I wouldn't trust it. But this file is coming from Symantec, which is a well respected software company. You should trust it.
