Dome Security Cameras
Bullet Security Cameras at Night?
Has anyone seen any camera footage in which the images are clear enough to identify a person at night, without zooming in. I am interested in bullet cameras and the little dome cameras. Do any of these types of cameras usually get a good night time issue at night without zooming in.
I am talking the normal run of the mill camera you see on the buildings, like the court house, bank, apartment building, mall, do they normally get good night time images.
I answered you second post - but no camera can focus/zoom like the human eye without someone making it do the functions. Most cameras are set to show a specific scene in a fixed position - like a bank teller camera where an image is put into a fixed position - this is for optimum image and resolution. What you are looking for or asking about is a camera that can do this across a broad field - not possible to my knowledge. Cameras can be set to deliver an image in a given limited field of vision with great results - but from a pole or area that covers a large field of view is not possible.

I'M SOO @#$%IN TIRED OF NOT FINDING THIS ITEM! HELP ME!?
WHERE THE HELL CAN I BUY A DOME/HEMISPHERE/HALF A SPHERE FROM?? I NEED ONE WITHOUT A FLANGE, 18" IN DIAMETER AND 9" IN HIGHT! I NEED ONE! NOT A SECURITY CAMERA DOME! A NORMAL, ACRYLIC/PLASTIC SEE THROUGH DOME!!!
Well that first answer is for glass, so a search for acrylic domes and acrylic hemispheres might be more rewarding, one yielded this http://www.globalplastics.ca/domes.htm which shows several flangeless hemispheres in the pictures. 18" starts at $39 for thinnest plastic.
