Doors Custom Sizes
I need a new door, but I have a problem?
I need a new back door. I would like to replace the old, drafty wood door with a new, energy efficient vinyl door. My problem is that the door is only 71" tall, and I can't go any taller because of the rake of the roof. Price is also an issue, so having something custom built is not possible.
Can I cut a stock size door down to my height requirements? And if so, what do I need to do to preserve its energy efficiency?
when you go to pick out your door, be sure you are buying a solid core door. Then you can cut it however you want. If you buy a hollow core door, you can't cut it down without ruining it. Also ask for information on cutting it down from the store personnel.

Wood Doors Custom Double Design Carved
Does anyone make oval glass (or center arch) steel doors in 32" size?
We looked at both home depot and lowes and neither have them, they are all 36" ones! I would prefer the center arch relibuilt door that lowes has, does anyone know if they can custom order these? or where I can get any glass door with an insert in a 32"????
Depending on where you live will determine how many glass companies you have. Many of them only do cars and commercial building glass but some of them can do a customized job in whatever you want. If you can find the right size door, they will put in any glass you want. Your size is considerably smaller than standard so be prepared to have to spend more money. A smaller lumber company might be more willing to work with you than a big company like Lowes but you never know until you ask.
