What are the signs of needing driving glasses?

This might seem like an odd question, it's just that when I'm driving for more that about half an hour, my eyes start to get really heavy and my vision is slightly blurred.
I don't really want to get an eye test unless I really need one because I have been 'prescribed' glasses before, I forked out money to get glasses and I'm certain they were just glass, I don't wear them at all.

Here are some signs that you may need eyeglasses to correct distance vision.

1) You have trouble reading the street signs or can't read them at all.
2) Lights appear with halos around them when driving at night.
3) You experience headaches or eyestrain when looking into the distance.

It sounds like you need an eye exam. Even if you are prescribed eyeglasses, you should only wear them when you need to. I usually wear mine while driving, reading the board in a class, watching TV, or any other activity where good distance vision is needed. My right eye has normal vision and my left eye was between 20/50 and 20/60. I had an eye exam yesterday and the visual acuity in my left eye got a little worse, but is not that bad overall.
