What is the most a person could win by dropping a $20 in a slot machine?
Or how much have you won by playing? Thinking of going to Tunica for some fun and i'm curious...LOL I have enough common sense to realize I will not hit a million bucks in Tunica. More or less just curious about playing, now what does a "Progressive" slot machine...what is that?
Well, there is a machine here in Vegas called "Megabucks" that has a progressive jackpot that starts at $10 million and costs $3 per pull. So, in theory, if you were the luckiest person in the history of the world you could win it 6 times in a row with $20 for a grand total of over $60 million.
In reality, $20 is not going to last you very long in a casino unless you play very low stakes (like 10 cents a pull on a penny machine) in which case you're not going to win much, if anything. I once won the jackpot on a penny machine playing 10 cents a pull, and it was $100 That's probably the absolute most you could hope to win taking $20 to a casino, unless you don't mind blowing it all really quickly making a run on a table game.
** To answer your other question, a Progressive slot machine in one where the top jackpot starts at a certain amount, and continues to rise as people play it and nobody wins the jackpot. For example, the jackpot for a machine might start at $1,000 and every time someone puts a dollar in the machine it goes up by a penny. So, if you sat and gambled $100 on it by yourself, the jackpot would be up to $1,001. As soon as someone hits it, the jackpot then goes back down to the starting point.
