Dual Keys Shipping
iBook g3 Smell?
The iBook (g3 dual usb) that I bought on ebay smells gross. It smelt like Body Odor since I got it out of the box. Testosterone Rich Body Odor. Gross. I read around and found that others were having problems with this too. Could it just be from the hot shipping package? Will it Go away? I don't have the time to take each individual key off and clean it. Help Me Please. 10 Points to best answer. Don't say that mac's are just terrible, I know they aren't. Thanks again
Try removing your keyboard by using the clips near the esc and F1, and F11 and F12, then remove the airport card bay (this goes for the airport card as well, if you have one), then remove the RAM, this should be enough to give your computer a chance to breathe and remove the smell, then, from a distance, try spraying some Lysol, then try running it around an air freshener, the computer will not be able to boot properly since there is a lack of RAM, but this should be able to spin the fan and air out the computer, the putthe RAM back in, put the Airport bay back in and fasten the screws, then insert the Airport card if you have one, the finally put your keyboard back in, give the keyboard area a nice wipe down with rubbing alcohol (and the rest of the exterior to be safe), after that is done, it shouldn't smell like BO anymore, at least let's hope not
