Electronic Lock Safe My safe is locked out, how do i fix it?
My electronic keypad access honeywell safe's door is open but the keypad refuses to function. I replaced new batteries and let it sit for hours but when i disconect the power supply and reconnect the keypad lights up and then it emits a long tone. When i push a key the red light flashes once and does not make a noise.
Honeywell model keypads can usually be rendered ineffective by shorting them out with an electrical wire. I've heard this problem before and I would recommend taking an extention cord, prying off one of the buttons with a screwdrivers and inserting a wire. If the mechanism stays locked, I would call the company.

If am going to purchase this safe which includes 2 spare keys
but what it is i am not very good with keys, i lose them. (:
I have heard if you use the safe with a Pin and the batterys run out you need the keys to open it
is it true as i want to lock the keys away in there.

Yes that is correct...the keys are there as a fall back when your battery goes. If you are bad with keys entrust them with your parents or a very good friend for safe keeping. Do not lock them in your safe as the company you buy it from will not be able to provide spare ones.
