Electronic Safe Combo
How will I open this safe that I bought from an estate sale?
I thought I posted this question but im not sure if I did.
I bought this sentry electronic fire safe at an estate sale for $20. It was a great deal as it cost almost $150 at the store. Well the owner passed away and nobody knows the combination they say the sentry papers are in the safe but nobody knows the combo and the family doesn't need the safe and doesnt need what is in it.
Can I call sentry safe customer service and explan this to them for them to give me the factory code. If I can do this, then it was worth it, if not I might as well get rid of the safe.
Of course I plan to dispose of everything in it, I doubt anything in there is important if the family didnt want it.
Anybody have experience with this kind of situation? would the sentry safe customer service help me out, I read that I can give a notorized statement for them to give me the factory code, but I am not the original owner.
Your best bet is to call sentry safe customer service and see if they are able to assist you. I understand they most likely can. If they are able to assist you, then you might be able to use the safe again.
You should look in your local telephone book for a locksmith or a safe opener. You might also google locksmith (Your city) or Safe opener(your city) This should give you list of individuals that might be of assistance to you. Using a locksmith or a safe or vault opener they might be able to open the safe for you, but from what I understand the safe might no longer be usable, or would only close, but not lock.
