My new gun safe won't lock?
I just bought a Redhead gun safe with an electronic lock. I can't lock it. It beeps like it's supposed to and when I type the code to unlock it, I hear a mechanical sound that I assume is it "unlocking." About 4 seconds later I hear the sound again which I assume is supposed to be it locking. I can turn the crank and unlock it though without typing in a code. It just doesn't lock. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks, genius. Of course I read the directions before I posted. michman, I type in the code, open it, wait a little while, close it, and it won't lock. It says it's supposed to lock itself after 4 seconds from the last correct code entered. I can just turn the handle both ways and the locking bars move in and out, they just won't lock in place.
Read the instruction manual again.
Try again.
If it still does not work properly, call customer service for advise.
