How safe is an electronic safe?
How safe is an electronic safe? I mean can anybody open it without knowing the pin no: or having access to the override key?
If you mean the cheap kind, they're not very safe. They're actually more of a toy than anything else. They're not very strong physically. It wouldn't take much to simply break it open. And with only 10 numbers (0 - 9) and maybe a 3 or 4 digit code, it wouldn't take long to simply try all the possible combinations to open it.

As much as I like looking at the trophy, I don't like the taste in my mouth. However, Cards fans, wasn't there a gift in the inning before? That was not a catch. Replays showed the ball bouncing and knocking the glove UP, not down, as with a true catch.
So here's my plan:
Put the Crew Chief in a booth upstairs, with all the electronic aids. Let him call fair/foul and safe/out in real time from the monitors.
Give the override power to the umps on the field.
Let the home plate Ump call high and low. Give him a beep in the ear if the pitch crosses the plate.
The one second delay this would create in close-call situations would not halt play, as an instant replay review calls for. Let the play be judged in real time with electronics.
I played the game. I know that the accuracy of called balls and strikes is about 75% What good is that?
The only thing that the officiating system actually does well is force a respect for authority while instilling mistrust.
I liked your ideas alot.With them the game would be a lot more fum for sure..
