I quit smoking because of the chemicals in cigarettes, is there a safe alternative?
I have been smoking for 13 years, and I quit about a month ago cold turkey, no problem. I am now subsiding on an almost completely diet of, distilled water and organic natural foods. I do not consume anything unless I understand the effects of the ingredients on my body. Once I made the decision to live chemical free it was really easy to make the change.I do not care about animal cruelty, or saving the environment at all, although I am concerned about consuming additives like mercury, barium from pesticides, etc.
My question: I would like to keep smoking, is there anyway to safely do this? Like Electronic Cigs, or pure preservative free tobacco, and where I can purchase these items.
Its not about nicotine or a high for me, it is more about having a reason to go outside when I'm at a bar. Its about having social interaction when I go out. Its about having a repetitive activity. Also I run every day so I don't want the solution to interfere with my ability to exercise.
The FDA proved that ecigs are at least 1400 times safer than smoking although they contain levels of toxins similar to medical NRT..
Inhaling anything other than fresh air is not what your lungs are intended for but if you have irresistible cravings or would otherwise smoke then anything else that satisfies would be better.
