End Table

What are some items that can be put on an end table?
What kind of items would you find in your bedside table?
I'm asking this for a project.
I'll decide best answer to whichever I pick who has the most items listed or the item(s) I will choose to use in my project.
TY in advanced.
End table items are way different from bedside table items. People tend to put necessary things on bedside tables, not so much on end tables.
On my bedside table: a lamp, the radio/alarm clock, ashtray & cigarettes, book, glass of water, drink warmer with mandatory cup of tea, magnifying mirror & tweezers, vase with pink rose, addictive orbit white bubblemint gum, candle, and bottle of xanax to help me sleep. It's not a very big table either, but has 3 deep drawers for other important stuff.
Good luck!

Woodworking #34- End Table (Pt. 1)
What kind of finish can you put on a mosaic end table?
I just created a mosaic top on an end table. I used colored glad and sanded grout. I have a baby and I am wanting a smooth top so he will not hurt himself on the small areas that are not very smooth. Any suggestions on what I can use ( as a clear cover) to put over this piece?
There are clear self-leveling epoxy finishes that you could put over it. I'm not sure if you can get them at a home improvement store, but you can try. Just explain to them what you want it for, and they should be able to tell you if they have it. A place you can get it for sure, is at a specialty woodworking store, if you have any in your area.
If you can't get it, you can find clear spray on epoxy finishes. I think that if you sprayed on a number of coats of this stuff, it should take away the roughness of the tabletop.

1. Firstly, get rid of stuff you don’t need. It’s hard to do, but when you’re in a smaller space, you may benefit from asking yourself “do I really need this?” If the answer is “no” or even “probably not” sort into one of three bins: toss, donate, sell. Then follow through. 2. Get rid of unnecessary furniture. You may be able to get rid of your dresser by using hanging sweater organizers in your closet. Invest in a canvas one (plastic will rip) and you can pack it full of socks, t-shirts, pants, etc., for far less space than a dresser would take. If you can mount your TV, put it on the wall and get rid of the stand. Also try downgrading furniture: can you replace your bulky chairs with bar stools? Can you have a smaller sofa, coffee table or bookshelf? 3. Make everything do a second job. If you want footstools, make sure they’re also storage boxes. End tables and coffee tables can also be purchased with plenty of storage that can be hidden. 4. If you own, and can alter things, consider pocket doors. Not only do they help the room feel more open, but you don’t need to keep the area of the wall where the door would have opened clear. That adds rooms for shelves. If you’re really in a tight spot, consider a murphy bed. 5. Store off-season clothes and extra linens in Space Bags. They really do shrink things, keep things dry, and everything else they claim. The only catch is that the plastic is thin and will rip, so be careful not to shove the bags in tight spaces where they might snag on something. 6. Be tidy. When you’re in a small space, clutter is worse. It will make the space feel small and unusable. When I was in my small apartment, I cleaned every day. That wasn’t always fun, but it made the space much more tolerable.
