why cant we instruct in english, spanish, and french?
in mexico city they instruct in spanish, english, and french, officially at their university. why are we stupider than mexico? why cant we instruct in english, spanish, french, and japanese??????
In Mexico, they also treat "undocumented immigrants" harshly. Why can't we have those kinds of laws here?
What we ought to do is emphasize teaching in Native American languages. Teaching in Spanish just promotes the illegal immigrant cause.
As for me, I would've loved to had French immersion in hs. It would've been fun.

How did the French, English and Spanish differ in their attempts at colonization in the Americas?
Please help! This is a question on my summer assignment and im finding it difficult to get the answer.

The Spanish used the land mostly for its natural resources. They went by a more mercantile approach to the New World.
The French did not settle the land in vast numbers. They traded heavily with the Native Americans for furs, and other goods. The French kept their impact with the Natives to a minimal due to their low population.
The English used the New World to get rid of people at first. Some were given opportunities to make a living, while others were more then happy to leave England. Some asked for land, others were forced. The English sent settlers, and other likes over in a steady stream. England used benign neglect to its Colonies. This helped fuel the desire for others to make the voyage over for wealth and freedom.
