File Cabinet Black
What color Curtains are best for an office with peach colored walls and dark brown window colors?
I am trying to do a mini-makeover to my husband's office while he is gone on a trip. The office is small, straight and narrow. Has 2 windows and the walls are painted peach. (somewhat dark). I cannot do anythng about the wall colors. Also his windows and door are painted dark chocolate brown. I also have a mustard yellow rug which has flower patterns in black, cream, beige and green.
The furniture is teak wood and is sort of light brown and his filing cabinet is light grey.I cannot seem to figure out what color curtains to put on the windows. I want to keep it masculine and I really and absolutely cannot change the furniture. Budget and otherwise restraint here..Can anyone help with curtain colors and acccents options please...

Filing cabinets
what color scheme?
I have a spare bedroom that is the old wood paneling. I would love to paint it, however, Im pregnant and cant really do that. We just moved in and we have made it an office. We have a black desk, file cabinet, and black futon. What colors do you think I should go with? The futon cover is Chocolate Brown however. and we have BLUE (of all colors) carpet in there. I know Im asking a lot.
I could replace the futon cover...?

Get your guy to do the painting while you take the day out of the house; he can then shut the door to the room and open the windows.
If this idea won't work, you should not worry about the walls, nor the carpet and futon cover. Keep them as they are and add throw pillows to the futon that have blue, brown, and at least one other color to them. Use a stripe or a floral fabric, and solids in the new color the pillows bring in - I'm picturing some green and maybe red! You can recover your office chair to go with the new colors. Add texture with the solid color pillows. Drape a throw over the back of the futon. Let the window treatments be a small pattern, of a color that picks up one you've added to your room.
