Fingerprint Biometric Gun
Gun saftey - Child proof lock?
To make a long story short. There has been a lot of attempted kidnappings in our area. I have 2 young boys. 18 months and 3 months. I want to keep a gun in my van under my seat. I have read up on the biometric (fingerprint) safes and I have a fear that it would take too long to get the safe out from under my seat and then pray it works and shoot before too late. Is there any adult friendly/child proof locks for a gun. I doubt they could really even cock it and they are not allowed to play in my van so I doubt it would really be a problem.
Does anyone have any tips or ideas about gun saftey from kids as well as a quick option to be ready to shoot if needed?

If we try to combine a biometric (fingerprint) system with some cryptographic system, we are confronted with the question, if there is enough information in the fingerprint.
