I live in UK and am looking for a fire-proof safe for my home which can be bolted down. Where can I get one? What material should it be made from? I've found some that withstand fire for up to 30mins. Can I get a better one than that?

You can get 1/2hr 1 hr and 2hr fire proof and they will probably have 1hr water proof too...

Does anybody's Fire&Water Safe smell or get damp?
We have the BRINKS Fire & Water safes and put random papers in there, pictures, special envelopes. Anyways, when we open them, they smell really bad- they smelled when we first got them, so it must be some special chemical. Everything inside feels damp. Envelopes are cold and damp and really bendy. It's really weird- cuz they are designed to keep water out, and it's like they're wet.
Any ideas? Oh yeah, and the stack of pictures in there are getting stuck together. Nothing tearing or visibly sticking them together, but I have to pull them apart.
All safes do that. They make a silica pouch for gun safes to absorb the moisture. It comes with a strip of paper that turns colors when the silica content is no longer any good. I bought mine at Bass Pro Shops in the gun department. Now my gold jewelry no longer turns dark either.
