Fireproof Safe Honeywell
Is a thumb drive or hard drive safe in a fire proof box?
Would a thumb drive or hard drive stored in a fireproof box (such as the honeywell ones) survive a fire? Would it melt or corrupt the data? Thanks
Aside from actual melt down issues; if your data is that important (and who's isn't?) relying on a single data backup is not the best idea.
Critical backups should be done into 2 places; one on site, and one off site, but with easy access.
Another method is storing files on the internet. Microsoft 'Skydrive' has 5GB of space and it's free, but of course security is an on going issue with internet files & accessability.
Use a backup application that permits 'incremental' backups to cut down on file re-copying. This method only copies new data added.

Guns have always been a sure way to protect yourself and your home, although things have changed quite a bit over the years. Even though those who live in the United States have a right to bear arms, there are also certain responsibilities that come along as well.
