First Responders Police
Why aren't all police cruisers in the US armored (to resist gunfire) and outfitted with TRUNK cameras?
I'm always perplexed when I see a report of an officer struck by gunfire while IN THE PATROL CAR itself. Shouldn't those things be up-armored? Seriously; there are civilians driving around the US with far more small arms protection in their vehicles than cops or first responders. Makes no sense.
Second, why do patrol cars only have forward-oriented dashboard cameras? Doesn't that leave them open to attack from the sides or back?
Why not use a Google Maps-style parabolic strobe camera that captures video in full 360 degrees, or at least a camera oriented out the back window and sides?

911 First Responders - Demonstrating Individuals
Legally, why can cops NOT be sued for failing protecting someone?
Many deny that the citizens are the first responders, and claim that the police are the protectors. My questions is, legally, why can cops NOT be sued for failing to protect someone?
Can I sue the city or state when theres a blizzard out and they didnt protect me because they didnt have the streets plowed?
Cops cant protect everyone. Theres not enough cops to protect everyone. Plus, the people in the country might live 30 minutes from a police department so how is it the cops fault they live so far away? I know the cops didnt say hey you must live here.
