Gel Dessicant
Where to buy dessicant packets?
I need to find a local store (walmart, target, rite-aid, etc...) who sells silica gel or dessicant packets. I have a moisture sensitive blackberry which i need to dry.... it did not get wet, but it was in my pocket which got wet from snow, so the phone picked up some residual moisture and the keyboard stopped working ... again (this is not the first time this happened) ... I just need to expedite the drying process by putting it in a bag with some type of moisture removal products...
I would check to see if you have any shoeboxes left over first.. this would be the most likely spot to find them because they are placed in almost all shoes (to keep them dry as they are shipped overseas)
I would also try a local shoestore... or a cellphone store might have some

What is silica gel "do not eat" "Throw away" dessicant--and what would happen if you ate it?
I have always wanted to know what it is for. I just bought a jacket and there was one inside each pocket.
Also used to get it with toys.
Silica Gel absorbs moisture and prevents clothes becoming musty during storage & display.
The gel is poisonous and could kill you if ingested.
