there are a lot of beretta 9mm, but i am assuming you're talking about the crappy 92F.
Glocks are okay, but I don't understand the Glock cult. Again, there are a lot of different Glocks too.
I would go for the 1911. I like the .45. I prefer .45s with double stacked magazines though.

Glock vs. Beretta
9MM handguns — Which is the best? Berreta? HK?
I'm going to trade in a mini-14 and a SA XD 9MM and get one handgun that I love. I just don't shoot enough to keep a rifle and a handgun.
I've owned Berreta's in the past and liked them (although the smaller models)
What are the best 9MM handguns I could get? HK? Berretta? I'm not a big Glock fan and I have small hands so I'm not looking for a gigantic gun. Just a top of the line 9.

The 'Itralian krunchenticker', with its' open slide, has proved to be such a maintenance nightmare & pain-in-the-ar$e in the Sand Pile War that the talking heads in the Pentagon are finally holding trials to get RID of this substandard pop-gun.
AND the latest H-K models are some of the front-runners in the competition.
Also, even tho I don't care much for Glock 'clones', even I will honestly say that the XD 9mm you're considering trading is FAR superior to the Beretta.
