Great Glock
Ruger p90 Vs. Glock 30???
I am torn. I have a buddy who is wanting to trade me straight up; my ruger p90 for his glock 30. I already have a polymer gun (s&w m&p) and I love the feel of the cold hard steel of the ruger. But... It's a Glock... Same cal. What do you think???
PS - Both guns are in great shape. Well kept and well cleaned.
I prefer the Ruger over Glock, but he would be loosing the money. Which one do you like shooting better? Why? Why does he want to ruger so bad? I mean if all else fails you could always switch back or sell the Glock and get something new.

How much would I get for a Glock 26 handgun?
I have a Glock 26 . I have shot it 20 times at a shooting range and the rest of the time its been in its case. I want to sell it to a gun store and was wondering how much I would get for it and if its worth it. Its in great condition
If you take it to a gun store you will get about half of what you paid for it. If you take it to a pawn shop you will get about 1/10th of what you paid for it. If you advertise it on the Internet you might get about 3/4th of what you paid for it.
If you try to sell it in the newspaper you will get people coming to your house that will try to rob you of it and all the things you have in your house.

I suggest a good quality full-size 9mm if you want a pistol. You can get a box of cheap plinking ammo for around $9 or so regularly (CCI blazer/Blazer brass, remfg’d ammo etc etc) if you look around, so at 200 rnds a month if you just want to be competent you’re looking at about like $36 a month. And shooting is FUN. For defense ammo, 9mm is just fine. 15 rounds of hot 9mm hollow points WILL bring someone down. I’m in the military, so my bread and butter 9mm is an M9 (Beretta 92fs). One can be had used for around $400, and they’re reliable as all fuck. It’s a little fat, but it’s quality. That said, there’s a million 9mm guns out there and a lot of them are great. Glock 19, Sig P2-series, Beretta PX4 Storm or 90Two (updates to the M9 design), a 1911 chambered in 9mm….the list goes on. Glock 19 is pretty popular, and can be had on the cheap. I carry a 9mm loaded with 16 rounds of +p JHP, and I feel confident that it can put someone down. However, I also have a shotgun. Just beware of the myth that a shotgun “can’t miss”, because it’s bullshit. With 00 Buck you only have nine pellets, and depending on the choke they can be tight groups. You still need to practice with it, because buckshot can go through sheetrock easily and you don’t want to hit someone on the other side of a thin wall. I have a Mossberg 590 that’s been “Tacticooled”, but a standard one will do you just fine. Shit, I saw a Mossberg 500 18.5 inch at Wal-Mart the other day for $199. I would’ve bought it if I didn’t already have one. Anyway, regardless of what you chose GO TO A GUN STORE FIRST and look around. Hold it, play with the trigger. Get one that feels COMFORTABLE to you. If they have a range, rent one or two, and see how it flys. Then, buy online or (if you want to support that store) buy brick and mortar. Remember to get a cleaning kit with some Break-Free CLP.
Well said, we have both seen a lot of equipment get blamed for piss poor shooting. But, I must say after really embracing Glocks and seeing that I could shoot “good” with one – then dumping it for a 1911 and now a Hi-Power, I have to agree with some that the Glock's trigger just sucks and they don't point for shit. I thought all the shots in the bottom of a bucket at 10 yards was great with a Glock. With a Hi-Power, it's walking along a road and shooting corn stalks. I'd say if a shooter is a reasonable person, he or she should try out a couple different guns. Sometimes, the shooter turns out to be a better shot than he or she thinks (and even if it just “feels” better, it's a confidence builder. Good article!
