Why do police in the USA need a warrant to enter a home?
Even for a serious crime?
Here in the UK police don't need warrants; they can enter, search the home all without permission. Even in some cases police can enter a home when it's owners are out and search then (police can access keys) if the person is suspected of a serious crime.
Also in the UK we have Stop and Search" laws this gives Police the right to conduct searches without warrant or reason of suspicion.
Plus we have mass CCTV surveillance (we have more CCTV than any country on Earth), detention without trial and plans to introduce compulsory biometric identity cards.
Plus best of all guns are banned here; only the government and the military can have guns. I feel so safe in the UK; I can walk the streets at 4:30am without fear; the UK is a much safer country.
We have a clause in the US constitution that says the people shall be secure from searches and seizures except on probable cause or upon issuance of a search warrant. So the police cannot just come barging into your home.
The exact wording is:
"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

Guns are banned; only the government, the police and the military own guns.
We also have detention without trial, CCTV on every street corner (I feel so safe going home) and protesting is banned. We also have plans to order everyone to own biometric identity cards.
The UK is so safe; I feel safe walking on the streets at 4:30am.
If you are 14 walking around at 4:30 am you need to be home .
