Gun Safe Heavy
I'm about to start the procedure for a firearm license.... what should i get?
I'd say it's for protection but mostly I just want to have fun at a gun range with a stronger/heavier pistol or revolver that I can keep at home in a safe, (kinda like revolvers a bit more though) please recommend some good revolvers 
My favorite is the Taurus Model 605 with a 4 inch barrel chambered in .357 Magnum.

| | Gun $20.99 Adrian and Paul Gurvitz might be better known for their travels with Ginger Baker in the Baker Gurvitz Army, but in the late '60s the brothers helmed the heavy rock trio Gun and caught a whiff of success in the U.K. with their debut single "Race with the Devil." Using the less-ethnic surname Curtis, Adrian (guitar) and Paul (bass) teamed up with drummer Louis Farrell and pounded out some distinctive psych-flavored proto-metal. Floating about in the mix along with the guitar pyrotechnics and drum workouts are brass and string sections that aren't always welcome, but "Race with the Devil" uses these potentially square instruments well, adding texture to an otherwise brutal stomp. "Yellow Cab Man" is the highlight of the set, a hard pop number with a buzzing guitar hook and frantic, heavily distorted soloing from Adrian. The obligatory freak-out comes with the finale, the 11-minute "Take Off" which begins with the sound of jet roar, then explodes into feedback, drum solos, backward guitars, and silly psychedelic exhortations to "take a deep breath and try to count to five." Elsewhere are half-baked orchestral interludes and some questionable songwriting chops, but the band is truly firing on all cylinders throughout and their interplay is solid like a fist. When Gun pours it on, the results are visceral and exciting enough to forgive the occasional wrong turn. The album artwork is impressively grotesque for the era, a flaming mass of squirming demons that wouldn't be out of place on a Slayer T-shirt today. There isn't any Satanism invoked in the grooves of Gun, but it's a lost gem for fans of the power trio format. ~ Fred Beldin |

Safes Are Heavy
Should I use a 300 weatherby for my hunt.?
Well I am thirteen and my dad got a vanguard ultra light 300 weatherby and he says its good for long range but is not that great with thirty yard shots. I am going to go hunting down by the border and wondering if it is a good gun for deer. I have a six mil but it is extremely heavy. My dad is not a big fan of the 300 because of its kick but it has a but pad and magnum port. Do you think I should take this gun deer hunting. Dont give me that crap about a thirteen year old shouldn't have that big of a gun or its not safe I have already killed a elk and turkey and birds and have had a safety course.
The only way to know for sure is fire it a few times and see how you react to it's recoil. The .300 wby is a heck of a round with a huge wallop behind it, not really necessary for deer. But if you can handle it and don't find the recoil to be objectionable then go for it. Your 6mm would be a better choice for most people to use on deer. Yes the weight might not be the most pleasant to hike around with, but you know with this that it's easily controllable, and you're not going to hesitate to pull the trigger when the time comes.
If you have no problem handling the .300 go for it, but I'm willing to bet that after a sight in group that 6mm is going to seem like a great idea again.
