Gun Self Protection
why is it illegal to own a stun gun in the state of Michigan for self protection?
I was robbed two weeks ago at the bus station on my way to work. I had thought to obtain a stun gun for self protection. Why is it that only robbers, thugs and street scum can just have their way with people and victimize them at will and we are denied protection?
Many states vary in what a private citizen can carry for personal protection, but I live by one motto,,"I rather be judged by 12, than carried by 6",,,,,,,,,

Should women carry a gun to be safer?
Personally, I don't like guns. I would never carry one unless there was a very large chance I would need to use one to protect....someone else.
However, I recently saw an interview with Sandy Broman (Head of the NRA) and she was advocating that women carry guns. It got me thinking. In her view, if alot of women carried guns, "thugs" would come to realize it and think twice about attacking a lone woman in a parking lot (or some other place).
Do you think women should carry guns for self protection?
I do, but that is my choice, so it depends on the individual.
