Moisture is your main concern right after the security of your guns. If you are sure that your guns will be secure in the safe in your garage you need to make sure that they are protected from moisture. There is an electric device called a Golden Rod that will help keep the moisture out of your gun safe. If that isn't sufficient, you will need to add a dessicant. They make dessicant containers that will absorb moisture from the air inside the gun safe. When it is full of moisture, all you have to do is to regenerate it in your oven. Both are available from places such as Cabela's and Bass Pro. Be sure that your gun safe is well bolted to the floor and to the wall to make sure that someone doesn't come along and load it into the back of their truck or trailer while you are gone.
