Hidden Drawer Wooden
We found lots of old/antique items, how do we find out what they're worth and who to take them to to sell?
My brother just bought a house and they found several OLD items hidden away under a stairwell. How do we find out what these items are worth and where would we sell them for the best profit? There are several paintings, a jewelry box, some figurines, an electric mixer, a small wooden cabinet/table with drawers and hinged compartments, some sort of antique shoe maker, a really old and large contraption that looks like it was used as a bottle/cork opener and several old soda bottles and bottle caps. He's looking to sell these items but doesn't want to get cheated since he has no clue what these things would be worth. Can anyone help?
Search out some of the smaller items on E bay and watch them until the auction is over and see what they sell for...you can also do web searches for the items as well and find prices....it will depend on what you get for them and how bad someone wants them..the soda bottles probably aren't worth that much unless you can find a bottle collector....same with the caps.

Hidden Drawer Part 1
Captain's bed, problem about moving it to a different wall in my room?
Ok, so I have what I guess is called a 'Captain's Bed," ya know the bed with the section underneath that has drawers and shelves (that section can be pulled out, if you wanted to hide behind it.. lol) but the back side is completely open, there isn't like a wooden back to cover it, so it basically has to put up against a wall on that side. Well, I want to move stuff around in my room but one wall has a giant window and the other wall has my door and my closet doors (its a double door closet)so once you walk through my door, you are staring at the wall with the giant window. So, my bed is already against the window and I hate it and I want more room in my room, so I want to be able to have only my headbored againt the wall, so my bed would be sticking out of the middle, how can I do that if one of the bed sides has no board to cover up the open-ness? lol. Can I make a board to cover it up? and still make it look good? Sorry about the confusingness! Thanks!
Just get an inexpensive piece of pre-finished panneling nearest the color of the bed.It can be cut-to-size and fitted very easy.This project should cost $20.00 to do.
