can you help me!!?
i want to create a pirates room...
this is what i have so far.
Put A Canopy Bed In, Hang Deep Colored Fabrics and Fishnet From the Canopy
An Old Trunk at the Edge of the Bed
An Antique Dresser that holds clothes but on top holds an antique tea set
Hang Gold Trinkets from everywhere possible
Paste and Old Mural Map Wall Paper on an entire Wall
Get a basic door, and paint it gold
Wood Floors
Have the antique tea set on a silver platter, and adorn in gold trinkets and jewelry
Stuff the bottom of the trunk with fabric and then on top, overflow gold trinkets and rubies etc.
Window- drape the same things that are on the canopy bed
Hang Lantern on the side of the bed
Desk- Paint Outside Gold [inside blocks maroon]
Decorate the Desk in Old Trinkets and such
Hide all electronics
Take Out Fan In Room, and Hang an Old Lantern
what else can i do to help it feel like a pirate room outta pirates of the caribbean?? thanx!
a satin comforter maybe in a jewel tone and then fold even another one or two of different jewel tones at the bottom of your bed. or put the old trunk at the end of your bed with the jewel tone blankets draped over it or coming out of the open trunk. you can find those old trunks pretty easy at garage sales. ( i found 4 last summer ) or search for "steamer trunks" on ebay. they will have that "aged" look to them.
if you are able, take your closet doors off and add shimmery fabric drapes to it with a tension rod ( 4 or more for fullness ).
i think you have all of your bases covered on this lol !!!! it should be an awesome room! my daughters gonna want a room like this too when i tell her about it!
