Hidden Jewelry why is my 14 year old daughter hiding her used sanitary napkins in her room instead of throwing them out?
She keeps them hidden in her desk, jewelry box...they're sometimes folded in the little pink package or sometimes just in her underwear. She's a girly-girl. She like her hair to look perfect, loves to shop and fashion mags - why won't she just throw them in the trash. could she be depressed? I have 2 daughters... how can one of my girls get it and another one not? Has anyone ever had this to happen??
I was the same way.
I was very embarrassed about my period. I didn't want to have the family know I was on my period. My mother found them hidden in my dresser drawer once and was shocked to say the least. She explained to me how unsanatary it was to keep them and that I could be contaminating my surrounding by keeping them. I quit after that. I would wrap them in lots of toilet paper and throw them away.
