Hidden Safe Rock
i need feedback on my poem.. pleeeeees?
A Rock.. feels no pain
It is a winter’s day
I look everywhere
a place I could store my pain
Pain that never dies
I gaze at the drops of water gingerly touching my windows
I am alone-
Pain tries to empathise
and I have built walls around
Feelings do not reach me
nor does the pain.
I am safe-
I have heard the word and it is love
It is the love that I disdain
and the laughter that haunts within
Sleeps within me
I will never disturb the feelings that have died.
I am a rock-
And I feel no pain
It can see my lamp unlighted
I am safe I hide in my room
In my own loneliness shielded
I am a rock a rock feels no pain.
Truthfully i found it very well written and very meaningful. It is easy to see you understand most of the hardships that life entails. It is seen from the way you write and the meaning in your words. It is very forthcoming to express one in the manner but you do it so well keep writing. I look forward to more written by you.

Ball Python staying warm?
Well I currently own a Male Ball python that is 2 years old. His tank is a 20 gallon reptile tank, the bedding is a clean mulch, big water bowl with clean water, a rock (first hiding place when he was a baby) and 2 sticks from the store. His current hiding place is a Tupperware container covered in black duct tape and cut to be a hiding box which he uses and it's perfectly safe. Recently I had a reptile light bulb in shining on the tank and it burned out, and now it's starting to get cold around this time of year. I was just wondering if a light bulb is essential because I have a heated mat in the bottom of his hiding box under the tank. Should this be enough to keep my little guy warm or should I buy another light bulb?
You should get a reptile thermometer and hygrometer in his cage to properly measure the temps and humidity in his cage. You should never guess, because it can lead to your snake getting sick if things aren't optimal in the tank. I pretty much always vote against using heat lamps because they dry the cage out. An under tank heater should be sufficient in heating the cage, but get a reptile thermometer in there (preferably one on each side of the tank). The hot side needs to be around 88-90F and the cool side around 78-84F. No lower than 75F ever. Humidity needs to be around 50-60%. Hope this helps.
